Most articles online try to encourage you to start your blog with paid hosting platforms and custom domain names just to look profession.

There are many niches to choose from and most people are the follow your passion model.
I am not going to argue with that but on the short note know this 'Not all things that you are passionate about has value to people and are willing to learn from you.
You may be passionate about sleeping but who will want to learn how to sleep from you.
On the other hand, people may be willing to learn how to cook but you don't know how to cook or may be you know how to cook but not passionate about cooking. That is where the Magic formula comes in.
As one business book bestseller put it. There are countless/ unlimited problems that the world face and if you can find a way to solve just one of them, you can get paid, be it personal, family, education business, you name it.
So in choosing a niche, it therefore important to know how many people are searching for those topics online and if you can write a quality comprehensive article about it, your success is inevitable.
